Please join us at the opening reception for Habitats: Flora and Fauna in Natural Settings and meet the artists that produced this inspiring work. Highstead is pleased to host The Greater New York Chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators for the 13th year in a row, and to offer this opening reception where visitors and artists may discuss the artwork and natural science illustration more broadly. Please join us for all or part of the reception, and view the art both for pleasure and for possible purchase. Light refreshments will be served.

Susan Morse is the founder of Keeping Track, a nonprofit organization devoted to training people in wildlife monitoring skills so they can use their knowledge to detect and monitor the status of wildlife and wildlife habitat in their communities. Through her spectacular wildlife photographs, Ms. Morse will discuss the value of educating and inspiring communities about wildlife habitat as part of a larger New England conservation strategy.
